01About these terms
These are the rules for playing Numhead (numhead.io). By opening and playing the game, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t play.
Numhead is run by {{SORUMLU_AD}} (“we” and “us” on this page).
02Who can play
- Numhead is for players aged 13 and over.
- If you’re under 18, read these terms with a parent or guardian and play with their permission.
- If your country sets a higher minimum age for services like this, that age applies.
03The game
- The game is free. You don’t need an account, just a nickname.
- You play in your browser. Your settings, key bindings and personal best are only stored in your browser, so if that data gets cleared, we can’t bring it back.
- We’re always working on the game. We may change modes, maps and rules, and take the game down briefly for maintenance.
- The game is paid for by sponsor images inside it (see section 9).
04Nickname and room name rules
Your nickname and your room’s name are visible to everyone. These aren’t allowed:
- Swearing, insults, slurs, hate speech or sexual content.
- Pretending to be staff, with names like “Admin”, “Moderator” or “Mod”.
- Impersonating someone else: a real person, a streamer or another player.
- Three or more digits in a row, or a math problem (like 5x25). Names like that get mixed up with forehead numbers. “Player12” is fine, “381” isn’t.
- Your real name, phone number, address or school. Keep yourself safe and leave them out.
The server rejects some names automatically. If we see a name that breaks the rules, we may ask you to change it, remove the player or close the room.
05Chat rules
- Be respectful. No swearing at people, insults, put-downs, hate speech, harassment or threats.
- No sexual content, and nothing that glorifies violence.
- No spamming, no ads and no links. Links to betting or gambling sites are strictly banned.
- Don’t share personal details, yours or anyone else’s: phone numbers, addresses, schools, social media accounts.
- During a match, don’t post anyone’s forehead number, or the answer to their math problem, in public chat. That includes a player who’s just been read announcing the number of whoever read them. During matches the server replaces numbers with two or more digits, and math problems, with “•” in public chat. Trying to get around that (spelling numbers out, spacing the digits) is also against the rules.
- Telling your teammate an opponent’s number in team chat is part of the game. In the lobby, outside a match, numbers are fine.
You can mute someone on your own screen, or report them. We review reports ourselves. Chat isn’t saved; only a reported message is kept with the report for a limited time (see Privacy).
06Cheating and fair play
The only skills in Numhead are reading and typing fast. Getting there any other way is cheating. That means no:
- changing or reading the game’s code or network traffic, such as peeking at other players’ numbers in your browser’s developer tools,
- programs, extensions or scripts that read or type numbers for you (including tools that read numbers off the screen),
- teleporting, speed hacks, walking through walls or anything else that breaks the game’s physics,
- deliberately exploiting bugs,
- trying to overload or crash the server, or opening lots of connections at once,
- sabotaging a match as the room owner, for example by refusing to count some players’ reads,
- secretly teaming up in Free-for-all, or feeding each other numbers,
- watching someone’s stream to read their number (stream sniping),
- inflating ad impression counts,
- dodging a ban with a new player ID or a new name.
Found a vulnerability? Please tell us instead of using it: {{ILETISIM_EPOSTA}}. Thank you.
07Rooms and room admins
- Whoever creates a room is its owner. The match is run in the owner’s browser. The owner picks the settings and bots and can make other players admins.
- The owner and admins can kick or ban players from their room. A room ban only applies to that room and ends when the room closes.
- Room owners and admins who abuse their powers (banning everyone for no reason, giving rooms rule-breaking names, sabotaging matches) may be warned, have their rooms closed, or be banned.
08Penalties and bans
Two groups enforce the rules:
- Room owners and admins can kick and ban players from their own rooms.
- We can close any room, remove a player from the server, and hand out temporary or permanent server-wide bans.
The penalty depends on how serious it is:
- A one-off minor offense: a warning, or being kicked from the room.
- Repeat offenses: a temporary ban (for example 1 day, then 7 days).
- Serious offenses: cheating, harassment, threats, hate speech, behavior targeting children or illegal content can lead straight to a permanent ban.
Bans are tied to the player ID stored in your browser. Room bans are also tied to your connection’s IP address for as long as the room stays open. Trying to get around a ban is against the rules and makes it longer.
We may report content that could be a crime (such as child abuse or a serious threat) to the authorities.
The no-hiding rule is part of the game, not a sanction. If you face a wall and stand still for too long, your number also shows on the back of your head. Nobody gets kicked or banned for it.
Appeals: if you think a ban was unfair, email {{ILETISIM_EPOSTA}} with your player ID. You can find it in the box on the Privacy page.
09Ads and sponsors
- Sponsor images appear on wall billboards, on the big screen in the middle of the map and on a few in-between screens (the screen you see after being read, the countdown, the end of the match and the share card). That’s how the game stays free.
- We don’t accept ads for betting, gambling or games of chance (illegal ones under any circumstances), alcohol, tobacco or e-cigarettes, or adult content. Ads that are hateful, violent or misleading are out too.
- We review every image before it goes live.
- Billboards can’t be clicked and never send you to another site. No cookies track you for ads.
- Advertisers are responsible for the products and services they advertise. If you see an ad that doesn’t belong, let us know.
Want to advertise? See Advertise.
10Our content, your videos and streams
- Numhead’s name, logo, code and original content belong to {{SORUMLU_AD}}. Some models, sounds and fonts in the game are used under their own licenses; see the Licenses card in the game.
- You’re welcome to take screenshots, make videos and stream the game, and to earn money from them. You don’t need to ask, but we’d love it if you tagged us.
- Don’t pass yourself off as official Numhead: no fake sites, fake tournaments or collecting money in our name.
- Don’t copy the game’s code and publish it elsewhere, or embed the game inside another website.
- What you write in the game (nickname, room name, chat) is yours. You let us display it and pass it on so the game can work.
11Limits of our liability
- The game is provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available or bug-free. Connections can drop, matches can end early and browser data can be lost.
- Other players are responsible for what they say and do. We step in when we see rule-breaking or when it’s reported to us.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using a free game. This doesn’t limit our liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.
- Health warning: the flash bomb turns the screen white in an instant, and the game has flashing lights. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or a similar condition, take care. Stop right away if you feel dizzy or unwell, and take breaks during long sessions.
12Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and we’ll announce big changes in the game too. If you keep playing after a change, you’re agreeing to the new terms.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by {{UYGULANACAK_HUKUK}}. Disputes go to {{YETKILI_MAHKEME}}. If you’re a consumer, this doesn’t take away any mandatory rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
These terms are also available in Turkish. If the two versions differ, the English version applies to players outside Turkey.
